Press Release Regarding The Official Visit Of The Minister Of Foreign Affairs H.e. Mr. Ahmet Davutoğlu To Ireland , 05.03.2010
Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoğlu will pay an official visit to Ireland on 9-11 March 2010. This visit will constitute the first official visit between Turkey and Ireland after a 19 year interval.
Turkish-Irish bilateral relations as well as Turkey’s EU membership process, regional issues and current international developments will be discussed during Minister Davutoğlu’s meetings with the Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs H.E. Mr. Micheal Martin and other Irish officials. During the course of the visit, Minister Davutoğlu will be received by President H.E. Mary McAleese and address the Joint Committee on European Affairs of the Irish Parliament.
In addition to his political contacts, Minister Davutoğlu will participate in an academic discussion at the University College Dublin and deliver a speech at the Institute for International and European Affairs on Turkish foreign policy.
